I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Health Services Research and Policy at the University of Rochester Medicine, where I am also a Graduate Research Assistant with the Surgical Health Outcomes Research Enterprise (SHORE) in the Department of Surgery.
My research sits at the intersection of health economics, health policy, and gerontology, and asks a common question across settings: how do health policies and the structure of the delivery system shape access, quality, and financial protection for vulnerable populations? I pursue this through two converging lines of work: one on long-term and post-acute care policy for aging populations, and one on equity in surgical and acute care, using quasi-experimental designs and large administrative datasets to evaluate the policies and interventions that matter most for underserved groups.
This work has produced more than 20 peer-reviewed publications, including articles in The Lancet Regional Health – Western Pacific, Social Science & Medicine, Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, and The American Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry.
